pic.jpg What Web 2.0 tool(s) have you used and how has it (have they) impacted student learning?

I have used web 2.0 tools like blogs, wikis, Twitter, Delicious, LibraryThing, Flickr, & social networking websites like MySpace & Facebook personally but I've only started more formally incorporating these into my teaching recently.

I have 15 student assistants in the library and have begun since January to embark on my adjusted version of Learning 2.0 http://librarytasrock.blogspot.com (based on the middle school version) I think there is quite a learning curve with them. Even though many are seniors, not all of them are comfortable with technology. I'm hoping they will learn about ways to use these tools in their other classes.

Recently I had a student who posted an image to her blog that she had edited. She had forgotten to give credit to the creator of the image and the creator ended up posting a comment on her blog about it politely asking her to give attribution. It was a great teachable moment.

How have you implemented any of Dr. Valenza's Top Tools?
