Jan. 23, 2010 Regional Workshop and Teleconference at Bernardo Heights MS
Some participants were familiar with Joyce's work and used 2.0 tools regularly. Others had limited exposure and were not aware of CSLA's 2.0 Tutorial which we demonstrated. One of the TLs was unable to show some specific examples of Jing projects because of technical difficulties with the district server and equipment being used.
Comments from our discussion after the Joyce Valenza Teleconference:
Future workshops to include more hands on opportunities
Suggestions included a school site with Apple workstations, SDCOE Rindonne Center
Move away from Google into subscription databases
Identify free websites with 2.0 tools
An effective classroom project is creating movie trailer-type projects (i.e. with Animoto)
Develop common site
for Region 5 information. posting research lesson plans/projects
Advantages of taking the 2.0 Tutorial
18 people came and 4 were no-shows.
